Kisnorbo Set to Stay and Henderson Could Return Fri 25th Jan 2013 06:00
Blues boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that Town are in talks with Leeds United regarding the extension of Patrick Kisnorbo’s loan spell and that West Ham keeper Stephen Henderson may return to Portman Road. Australian centre-half Kisnorbo’s spell with the Blues is up on January 29th.

Town defender Tommy Smith could be named New Zealand’s captain as successor to QPR's Ryan Nelsen, who has announced that he will retire from playing when he takes over as head coach at Toronto FC at the start of February. Smith has skippered the All Whites when Nelsen - who replaces Blues legend Paul Mariner at the MLS side - has been absent since the end of last season.

Manager Mick McCarthy is set to return to a more familiar-looking side when the Blues travel to take on Championship leaders Cardiff City on Saturday, but is forced into making at least two changes from the team which lost 3-0 to Brighton in their last league game. Keeper Stephen Henderson has an ankle injury and DJ Campbell is back at QPR, while Patrick Kisnorbo, David McGoldrick, Aaron Mclean and Frank Nouble have been added to the squad since the New Year's Day defeat.
